To My Beloved

O Bride! I betroth you in righteousness
forever–even as the gnarly vines
transform and bear the richest fruit.

O Bride, o beauty of my life! I love you
with infallible trust, from the shortest
to the longest day, and with the surest

rapture. O Bride, rest in my loving arms–
I bless you with undying forgiveness and
mercy. Within my trust, justice lets you

thrive beyond known boundaries; you
extend into the horizon, into the space
I have provided you. O my eternal

love, rest in my blessing! Though you
were unfaithful to me, with my bride price
I have redeemed you with my undying love.
