Sapphire Sky
by Annie Jenkin

Looking through the glass
his silver silhouette lit
by the shallow river's glow,
he knows where the salmon go
The whip and swish of casting,
this slender blue flash flies far,
it draws clouds away
revealing a sapphire sky.
In the shadows of my dream
I can see through the dark
where joy and light
live forever.
