Lavender Iced Tea
from the kitchen of Sharmagne Leland-St. John

1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lavender blossoms
Iced Tea or Arnold Palmer *
Ice cubes
A sprig of mint

In a small saucepan over medium-high heat,
combine the water, sugar, and lavender. Bring
to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.

Remove from heat and allow the syrup to
steep for approximately 30 minutes.

Pour the syrup into a sterilized glass jar through
a mesh strainer to remove the flowers.

Allow to cool.

In a tall glass, prepare the iced tea/Arnold Palmer.

Add the lavender syrup to tase.  Add ice cubes,
garnish with a sprig of mint and enjoy!
