A Catamaran’s Fantasy
by MFrostDelaney
Inspired by Catamaran on Cedar Lake, by Sara Wadington

If waves would swell and take me from this shore
without a storm surrounding me, its wind
not captivating me within its clutch,
but stroking me, caressing me so soft
without a pelting rain that soaks, but with
its gentle sprinkles washing warmth on me,
a summer atmospheric fling–a spree!
adventure without grief–is it a myth?
To feel embraces keeping me aloft
on water rolling into curls that touch
my twofold hulls, as if my body’s finned,
the mermaid of the lake that you adore,
we two, we glide and bob into a crest
of bliss, then you surrender at my breast.
