Catamaran on Cedar Lake
by Sharmagne Leland-St.John
Inspired by Catamaran on Cedar Lake, by Sara Wadington

moored
beached
abandoned
sad to not be out
on the lake
feeling the swell
of waves
the rise and pull
hearing the wind whistle
as it fills your sails
the scent
of old growth cedars
permeating the air
the memory of
childrens' laughter
the yellow warbler's song
It won't be long
before summer's gone
