Almond Bread
from the kitchen of Trudy Escoubas
3 cups flour
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
3 eggs
1 ½ cups milk
1 ⅛ cups oil
2 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ tablespoons poppy seeds
1 ½ teaspoons each: almond, vanilla and butter flavoring
Mix together flour, salt and baking powder.
Mix together remaining ingredients and add
to the dry ingredients.
Bake in greased bread pan at 350º F for 1 hour.
Glaze:
½ teaspoon each of almond, vanilla and butter flavoring
¼ cup orange juice
¾ cup powdered sugar
Mix together powdered sugar, orange juice
and flavorings in a bowl
until well combined.
Pour glaze over warm bread.
