Homeless (a haiku sequence)
by Charlotte Digregorio

snow flurries
he bundles
his bed

fading
into winter
his words

arctic winds
he walks past
the shelter

core of the city
he languishes
in twilight

fog blankets
the downtown bridge …
he vanishes
