That Night
by Marcel Aime Duclos
You spoke It all at once,
that one Word.
You broke your own silence.
Sent It into your void,
that womb-like nothingness
waiting for the seed.
You sang It, sing it still
that living miracle,
Word that trembles on.
Everything the Word.
Bread and Wine
no different.
Everything a miracle.
Cat bowing before the wren.
Creatures glowing in the deep.
You spoke It all at once,
that one Word.
You broke your own silence.
