Look at you,
"Tiny Dancer"
with your beautiful legs
clad in black tights.
Diaphanous wings
cloaked in amber
with a trim of black velvet
and rhinestones
glimmering in the Autumn sunlight.

Your journey's just begun…

Tread lightly upon
heartleaf milkweed's
tender blossoms;
coneflower and teasle,
red clover and asters
fragrant blooms.
Gather in
their sweet bouquet
soon it will be time
for you to fly away.
