Winter Holiday Cranberry Sauce
from the kitchen of Sharmagne Leland-St.John
2 cups fresh cranberries
½ cup pure apple juice
cup packed dark brown sugar
¼ teaspoon ground allspice
Zest of one naval orange
Wash and drain the cranberries.
Combine all the ingredients, except the orange zest, in a medium sized pot and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 15 minutes. Cool, add the orange zest and serve.
