Valentine Pudding
from the kitchen of Sharmagne Leland-St. John

1 cup flour
½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup blackberry jam

Pre-heat the oven to 325º. Cream the sugar and
butter together. Add the eggs and mix. Dissolve
the soda in the milk. Sift the flour and cinnamon
into the egg and sugar mix, alternating with the milk.
Blend In the jam and bake for 40 minutes in a 3½ x 12
inch greased shallow dish.
