My Love for You

My love for you will never wane.
Though forced apart, we will remain
as one in dreaming of the hour
when bombs no longer make us cower
and we can be back home again.

We’ll rebuild. We won’t complain
of what we’ve lost. Without disdain,
we’ll restore our lives. I’ll shower
my love for you

and you for me. We must sustain
our strength, believe we can regain
each city, forest, farm, each flower
destroyed. As troops, we are the power
of Ukraine. This keeps me sane–
my love for you.
