Love Song
by Carole Mertz

You’re like the mountain standing tall
Your words a river bursting life
Your message sweet, not grim nor droll
Attended by a needy wife

Our love is what we strongest feel
When fewest words are said
Like sweetest scent of orange peel
Sweetest trill on river’s bed

Call to me–
Come to me–
Trura-lee, tra-la

Call to me–
Come to me–
Trura-lee, tra-la
