Dust and Light

Her fingernails slowly scraped over the glass
shark teeth jeweled at the tip.

The sound of it made my tongue coil
and hiss. This was all amusement to her.

Then her laughter breaking the trance,
the beads of her eyes glowed like emeralds

and she knew it.
