Snow Fall, by Sharmagne Leland-St. John

The Course of Life
by Michael Escoubas

It was only yesterday
that the leaves hung
tenaciously
to branches swept by wind.

They fell with tears
as part of life’s design.
Yet the landscape
retains its beauty

and a little more …
one observes icy shades
and random shapes …
an old way of clinging,

a refusal to let go.
There is a style of warmth
that finds expression
beneath winter’s quilt,

an autograph, crafted
by Nature’s fingers,
a reassuring signature,
that after sleep, the world awakens.
