Snow Fall, by Sharmagne Leland-St. John
Holding Winter
by Priscilla Turner Spada
One snow-cupped branch is etched against the sky,
as winter sun is struggling way on high.
The desert floor is pillowed with icy clumps,
when walking through, there would be slosh and crunch.
The shadowed blue of mountains in the distance
holds the dampened clouds and crystal mist in.
Now all's quiet, hushed to shades of gray;
the weakened light will stay another day.
