Marcus Diemer
Marcus Diemer was born in Duisburg in 1972 and grew up there. However, 20 years ago he decided to move to Aachen, Germany where he still lives today. Marcus is happily married and has a son who brings him much joy.
One of his greatest passions in life is photography, especially of lighthouses. He has been dedicated to this pastime for 25 years and has visited over 1200 lighthouses around the world over the years. For Marcus, lighthouses are not only fascinating buildings, but they also symbolize hope, orientation and safety. He is fascinated by their architecture, their history, and their importance to shipping.
To expand his collection of lighthouse photos, Marcus enjoys traveling around the world. He has visited numerous countries including the United States, Canada, France, Spain, Norway and many more. Each trip is an exciting opportunity for him to discover new lighthouses and capture their uniqueness.
