behold an outline,
recoil from the darkness.
You brace your head,
hold your vision steady,
periscope a future,
breathe in the color storm.
You plant your feet,
toe-grip the hidden ground,
feel the moment's heat,
fear not the revelation.
You anticipate the unknown,
welcome the not-yet,
discern a city,
wait for the clear sighting.
