Visions of Hope

Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes,
Or a towering mission driven missile,
Poised for transcendence, sleek, strong, powerful,
as it rises toward new heights and unknown spaces,
On a trajectory not yet explained.
Or perhaps it’s a towering structure,
For the elite, or dare we wish, for the poor.
No matter which,
Each vision glides towards new horizons–
Dare we call it Hope–in troubling times?
Each makes its way with purpose,
Through the gentle grace of pastel mists,
Quietly full of light and promise,
As we float on sky-lit air,
Like feathers floating in a sky
On a warm summer night.
