Creamed Papaya Delight
from the kitchen of Sharmagne Leland-St. John

1 papaya
2-3 scoops vanilla ice cream
Crème de cassis

Peel  papaya, slice in half, scoop out seeds.*  
Cut into wedges and place in the blender with
the ice cream.  Blend until smooth.  Pour into
stemmed glass and top with the cassis. 

Editor’s note:

Save the seeds, when dried and ground, they
add a wonderful peppery taste to any salad.
