she longs to make love
on a June night blanket spread
the scent of lilacs

coreopsis blooms
bee feet tickle yellow face
turned to greet the sun

      ~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~

the bud of a smile
waiting to blossom between
nose and cleft of chin

      ~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~

on Sunday morning
the dark sky let go her rain
weeping crystal tears

      ~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~
