Avocado Toast with Sardines
from the kitchen of Sharmagne Leland-St.John

1 small avocado
1 slice Dave’s 21 Grain Bread, toasted
1 Meyer lemon
Kosher salt
1 tin of sardines in oil, drained
Red pepper flakes, to taste

Scoop the avocado out into a small bowl and mash.

Squeeze a bit of lemon juice into the bowl and mix.

Spread onto a slice of toast.

Zest the lemon on top and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

Top with sardines and sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
