Leafless trees, red barns, cattle dotted the snowdrift landscapes spread before us on either side of the slippery road. You made me laugh when you turned to me straight-faced and declared, "Those cows are outstanding in their field." It took me a moment to get the joke. In the warmth of the truck I snuggled closer to you, happy to be together, enjoying this late winter adventure.
