
Steel Cut Organic Oats
from the kitchen of Sharmagne Leland-St.John
2 cups half and half
½ cup Irish Steel Cut Oats
Pure maple syrup, to taste
Bring half and half to a boil. Slowly stir in the oats.
When the oats begin to thicken,
approximately 5 minutes, reduce the heat and simmer
uncovered for 20-30 minutes.
Stir occasionally and keep an eye on the pot so the half
and half doesn’t boil over.
Add the maple syrup and stir to combine, then pour into a bowl and serve hot.
