In Memoriam
Annie Jenkin
(June 3, 1957 ~ February 5, 2024)
It is with great sadness that the editorial staff dedicates our March issue 2024 issue in memory of British poet Annie Jenkin. A regular contributor to Q & P since 2020, Annie published 42 poems, serving as featured poet in June 2020 and again in March 2022. Poetry was life for Annie Jenkin. Inspired by Plymouth’s lush surroundings of sea, coastline, birds and wildlife, she painted pictures with words. Annie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer approximately one year ago. She bore her suffering well. Ever cheerful and hopeful, Annie’s courage inspired all who knew her. Annie Jenkin died peacefully, in the arms of friends.
