Spring Greetings
by Karen O’Leary

Singing trio of robins
Perched in budding trees
Rousting squawking blackbirds
In a comical outburst
No harmony to that tune
Grandma checks on her friends

Greeting her guests with a smile
Replenishing the birdbath
Elated to see a bluebird
Eating the seeds she loves to share
Tinkling of her wind chimes
In the cool spring breeze
Neighbors gather in this garden
Gentle, whimsical haven of grace
Sharing the gifts of love and peace
