Sunflowers on a Corner Table

The
subdued
light leaking
through slated blinds
reflects an image
of sunflowers flaming
yellow among rough green leaves,
ousting gloom on this dull-gray day,
their showy brown hearts displayed to all.
Despite the cloudy day, my mood brightens.
