Mint Julep
from the kitchen of Sharmagne Leland-St. John

10 mint leaves
¼ ounce good quality honey
2 ounces Buffalo Trace Bourbon
1 mint sprig for garnish
Crushed ice

Heat the honey by placing it over boiling water.
Do not boil the honey.

Lightly muddle the honey and mint in a metal
Julep cup or rocks glass. Let it cool.

Add the bourbon, then pack tightly with the
crushed ice. Stir to create frost on the outside
of the cup or glass.

Top with an additional amount of crushed ice to
create a dome. Garnish with the mint sprig.

Place a metal straw into the ice and enjoy!
