Design a pattern. Use your wit
as you knit.

Don’t count the hours, the reknit rows.
Dream fingers, toes,

as the blanket grows. Knit and purl
for Baby Girl

who’ll some day tiptoe, spin, and twirl.
Soon Mom will swaddle her in blue
and yellow softness knit by you.
As you knit, dream fingers, toes, for Baby Girl.
