still life
by Marcel Aime Duclos

a shrine
this dining room
red and white roses
thorns interlaced
remnants shelved
in the black corner cupboard
in the yellow room
in need of remembering
crying for a touch
begging for my approach
as I stand pillared
in the doorway
after your funeral
