Like You Love Me
by Sasha Wiley

The clouds hang heavy and low and I'm not here.
I've run away without myself,
Become one long gesture of yearning.
A thousand miles away,
A projection of surface area
Asking to be broken.

Emmènes-moi de moi-même
Laves-dessus de moi comme une marée
Détruises-moi comme tu m'aimes.

Lying in the grass,
Longing settles on my skin like dew.
I will it to melt, thaw, resolve itself
Into you.
I wear a crown of thorns
To be sure I feel
You touch me.

Emmènes-moi de moi-même
Laves-dessus de moi comme une marée
Détruises-moi comme tu m'aimes.

I would take refuge
In the machinery of night
So only the darkness could lead your hands
Across the breath filled elevations
Of my body,
Reaching into
Your touch,
Seeking sharpness.

Emmènes-moi de moi-même
Laves-dessus de moi comme une marée
Détruises-moi comme tu m'aime
Détruises-moi comme tu m'aime.
