Mirrored Shore to Mirrored Shore
by Michael S. McCoy
From mirrored shore to mirrored shore
This autumn sunset will not complete
Until the lake is consumed in fire
First folding down granite capped ridges
Yellow aspens, reddened brushes, and golden larches
Lace evergreens, which slow ripples blend
Along the surface of a bowl
Holding this slow moving
Mad pink-feathered sky
As its centerpiece
