December prompt create a Golden Shovel Poem.

"Bone-pale, the recent snow fastens like fur to the river."

From Early December in Croton-on-Hudson by  LOUISE GLÜCK

A golden shovel poem is a poetic form that uses the last word of each line from an existing poem to create a new poem. The form was invented by Terrance Hayes in his 2010 poem “The Golden Shovel”, which pays homage to Gwendolyn Brooks’s 1959 poem “We Real Cool” The form allows for an interesting dialogue between the original and the new poem3.
