Halloween
by Charlotte Digregorio

Still
pale moon
aromas
of cauldron brew.
Disguised as a ghost,
smoky-fog surrounds me.
Toothy jack-o-lanterns line
steep steps with skulls and skeletons
in the deepening dim of twilight.
A warty witch dangles from the warped fence.
