Luna
by Gloria Viglione

Goddess of the Moonlight
embodiment of the Feminine,
Luna gives us Monday in her honor.

She conducts nature’s symphony
by her ripening fertility
in tidal waves and earth rhythms

of columbines, crickets,
hummingbirds and raindrops—all rise
with her fullness and lament when she wanes.

When Luna kisses Sol
silver moonbeams are cast—
a sigh into the Darkness,

a key that reaches deeply,
calling on the Goddess within
to release my entangled soul.
