Christ Calms the Sea of Galilee
by MFrostDelaney

Behold the tempest tossing them at sea,
disciples skilled, as fishermen would be,
but overcome as if a giant mast
had captured all the wind, and in one blast
brought them in their small boat near tragedy.

They grabbed the oars; their fishing lines broke free.
Then fearing doom, they cried to Him their plea,
a terrorized and piercing cry, aghast,
                Behold the tempest, Lord.

He wakened calm and said to them, Oh ye
of little faith,
and then commanded, Flee,
to wind and waves, collected them and cast
them to the netherworld. The tumult passed,
the men relieved, astonished, said of He,
                Behold, He rules the tempest.
