Sudden Fall Wind
by Dan Fitzgerald
The wind has picked-up,
swaying tree limbs
in waving craziness,
A bird struggles in flying,
then decides it is time for rest.
Chimes sound warnings
in arpeggios of metallic notes.
The last of fallen leaves
hurry to grab bushes and fences,
stopping their reckless tumbling’s.
A forgotten kite becomes
excitedly anxious in the back of the closet.
