Somewhere You Are Near
by Meg Fraser

loneliness clings to the shoulders
of the moon
a sacred quiet settles into
this vast changing time
stillness is my language
my true friend
I walk the wind
step inside
each grain of sand
listen
listen
I pause in this blue silence
hold it in my hand like an angel

Untitled
by Meg Fraser

white lilacs bloom
in my front yard
a wall of eyes
fills
the space
that once was me
I walk in shadow
of what I used to know
