Write The Moon
by Deborah Russell
The subtleness among the leaves
whisperings - the coming springs
An earthy sigh and how it heaves
in the beauty each twilight brings
To blend within the quiet lake
language but for nature's sake
let long grass brush the sleeve
of every heart, a love to cleave
And lift the dandelion's down
to fill soul's ears with its sound
And bloom the sweet delightful vine
with poems to hold the world divine
to twine silk words around the night
and write the moon to rhyme its light
and through the days all praises sung
in golden strands of each morning sun
Let moments be complete with bliss
And lips be gloss'd with nature's kiss
That poets write psalms of nature fair
And pen the world a peaceful prayer
