An Austrian Evening

Majestic mountains rise out of lake mists,
long sun rays highlight picturesque village homes–
their configurations repeated in the mirror waters.
The tall needle-like church spire,
centerpiece of this peaceful town,
slices the scene in two halves–
one where it reaches skyward in swirling haze,
the other, where it floats gently on tranquil lake waters.
This placid scene of light and shadow,
conveys a sense of communal closeness
and a serenity of a dreamlike quality.
I yearn to travel there!
