Transport Me!

I sit, knees bent,
in a cozy slice of heaven.
Surrounded by tall shelves
of colorful books, I am lured
by suggestive words that float about,
tease, taunt and beg me
to dive between book covers
where I can learn, grow, imagine
and be carried away to adventure,
romance, to new ideas,
people and new worlds.
I thrill to the challenge as I
nourish my love of language and story!
