While picnicking in the countryside,
Seurat became enthralled with
the wildflower dotted meadow
just the other side of the lake.

In his studio, an empty canvass waits.
His palette congeals; his easel wobbles.
Desperation knocks, BUT • • •
Bam, an aha moment explodes!

Dots. Yes, Dots
Teeny, tiny, little dots!
His method proved tedious;
his creations not the speediest.

But • • •
Seurat’s masterpieces span centuries
And • • • I think • • •
he definitely proved his POINT!
