Tomorrow Never Knows
by Sharmagne Leland-St.John

When the moon's like a silver mirror
Shining in the sky
Lady's beside her window
Trying not to cry

He built her a house of dawn
On the other side of the wind
Brought her a unicorn grazing
And told her she was his friend
He captured the echoing silence
Bridled the world's wildest steed
Gave her a day from her childhood
And saw to her every need

He painted a colour
That had no name
Made a bright fire
Without any flame
He sang her a song of the rainbow
Fetched her a rose made of stone
Caught her a comet blazing
Then left her all alone

He taught  her how to fly
Then took away the sky

Tomorrow never knows
Which way a summer wind blows
Lady never knows until her man is gone
How deep her sadness is

Shadows across her mind
Fragments of memories
Is all he's left behind

Lady's just a puppet
Dangling on a string
She threw away her wedding gown
Threw away her ring
Lady's like a meadow-lark
That has a broken wing
You'll never see her fly
You'll never hear her sing

Shadows across her mind
Fragments of memories
Is all he's left behind

When the moon's like a silver hammock
Hanging in the sky
Lady's beside her window
Trying not to cry
