Yom Ha-Sho'ah
by Tamara Tull

Silent walls
Dark hidden rooms
Secret prayers
Look up your eyes
Do not deny your history
Remember that which our fathers felt
Remember that which our mothers did
Here in the dark
I stand naked
Remembering the sun
I look at the stars
I know we numbered them
Now we are almost none
Do not deny your history
Remember that which our fathers did
Remember that which our mothers felt
Do you see me
Standing here before you
I was there
I remember
Do not deny your history
Remember that which our fathers did
Remember that which our mothers felt
Do not forget
I was there
I will remember
I was there
I cannot forget
