Sour Cream Softies

3 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup unsalted butter
1 ½ cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sour cream
Preheat the oven to 400º F.
Sift together the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
In a different bowl, beat the eggs and cream together with the butter,
sugar and vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the sour cream.
Drop by medium tablespoonfuls 4 inches apart, onto "air bake" cookie sheets
and bake for 10 minutes.
For other types of cookie sheets, lightly grease sheet and bake at 350º F.
for 8-10 minutes.
Frost with confectioners powdered sugar frosting when cool!
You might wish to tint the frosting with a pastel food color for spring.
