Pindaric flights
by Barbara Anna Gaiardoni

Silent prayer,
not tied to earth,
nor bound by time.
Castles built
on shifting air,
violets to catch.

They’re not the facts
of stone and glass,
but shadows
in a looking glass.

Let your thoughts
take wing and fly,
beyond the clouds.
For in these flights,
we find the truth of who
we’re meant to be.
