Early Morning Haiku
by Lee Hubbard, Sharmagne Leland-St. John and Deborah Russell
Lee Hubbard
The bright, white ball sails
Up, up, up, tense at the top,
then arcs down. I smile.
Sharmagne Leland-St. John
Enter the sweat lodge
Aho mitakuye oysin
Sweet medicine sage
Drowsy we cuddled
Crickets chirped down in the yard
Summer symphony
Deborah Russell
his fragrance faded
a Nike ball cap - scented
with mango shampoo
arabic kofe
the canister half empty
his flight remembered
