The Green Unending

Deborah Russell

The green unending - miles and miles

Beauty distilled from it's essence

As setting moon and rising sun compete

Before my eyes the division- beginning and end

The rise of tide and sounds of salted wave

Swell and retreat from the bow below my feet

Spray infused with the scent of august wind

And bathes soft my face and eyes in day's begin
