Passion Plays
By Sara Wadington

These are love's passion plays
Like those heated summer days
In the midst of winter I recall
What it was that caused my heart to fall
Flowers in full bloom
The pull of sultry August moon

With love's romantic passion
I love you in my fashion
Only to know this fantasy will never be
My passions you won't ever see

Somewhere along the way
Time has altered all my days
Like volcanic lava through jungles flowing
Only to be satiated with the knowing
When entering  the deep blue sea
Still this burning desire wells up in me
If only I could I make you mine
For just a moment held in time

Oh, for those wanton summer days
Still longing for love's passion plays
