Is it good to be so calm? That we can
Enter into war with another country so passively
That we can protest these wars so passively
That a few broken bottles and a shouting match
Equal a riot?

What ever happened to
The naked ape that screamed blood
Up at the sky, waved sticks and beat angry rhythms
On his bare chest, and bit when cornered
Knew how to say "no!"?

Is it evolution when we can't speak our minds
Say we're angry
Fight back? Is it evolution
To nod, smile politely, turn the other cheek
Only to burn in our sleep and dream of blood?
